Unconditional love

This is what I feel about animals in general. But when you get to see two really special cuties like the one described in the pictures, you can only be amazed by their beauty.

Working with small animals, pets or any kind of animal, is one of my preferred type of work. In studio or outdoor, they always surprise me with little things that they do. Whether they play, run, sleep, yawn, jump or sit, they are very good “models”. The only thing that they require, is a lot of patience. And I mean a lot! Images like you see in this post can come easy, in 2-3 minutes, they can come hard, 1-2-3 hours of waiting and “telling them to pose” , or they can’t come at all. It is all about the skills you have of making them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Exactly like people 🙂

What does it mean: make them feel comfortable?

It means you have to like animals, you have to be yourself a pleasant person, to interact easily with them, to pet them, and always have their “special toy” around, to get their attention. Other than that, special food can work too. But the ingredient that should not miss is, I repeat, lots of patience.

These two cuties are father and son. So they are pretty comfortable together, and they look good. It was pretty easy to work with them and to achieve the result that we wanted.

I will tell you about more of animal shootings in the future posts, and try to describe how the session went. Until then, enjoy these ones! If you want to see even more images with pets or animals taken by be, you can find them on my site:
